    Personalizing the Internet

What have we been up to? Well, hopefully you'll find out soon, since I have the week off of work and very little excuse to procrastinate. Well, perhaps not quite as much of an excuse as normal.

Last week was terrific, with my math project ending and a wonderful Fourth and another trip out to Krause Springs. We also had an Internet friend come into town. I've been communicating with Paolaccio through the etherweb for over a year now, which seems like a shocking period of time to know someone without having any ability to pick them out of a lineup of two.

So, he came into town, and we went to Vino Vino and had lots of tasty small plates, and then the next day we took the man down to Lockhart so he could wrap his canines around some serious Central Texas barbeque at Smitty's. He didn't eat for another twenty-six hours.

He came through town on the Albuquerque - New Orleans leg of his cross-country car journey, which you can follow over here on his blog.

Yay for finally meeting internet people in the flesh!

It was more than a pleasure meeting you and Mr. WTF, and wrapping canines with y'all at Smitty's. I am starting to realize how far I will LITERALLY go for good food, and you guys were something of an inspiration on that score.

I have tips on places to go in Nashville and Baltimore, should you ever find yourselves in either of those fine cities...

Now I feel like I should just stick with the name "mr. WTF", but I think it might get (even more) confusing. A definite pleasure meeting you as well - we'll have to do it again somewhere bizarre!
