Happy Friday, folks!
I would like to introduce you to a couple of new members of the Boots family. First, if you're on Facebook (and who isn't these days?) I've created a new page where you can keep up with the latest Boots news. Learn about new posts early! Find out about food events in Austin! Connect with the other lovely folks who read the blog! There's a button over on the right, under our Dishola badge, that you can click to head on over to the page. Or, follow this link:
And that's not all!
I've also created a tumblr-style microblog where you can keep up with what's happening behind the scenes here at Boots. We usually don't get around to blogging everything fun that happens around us, but Boots on the Side will make that a lot easier. This will be especially awesome next week, when we're in New Orleans for Thanksgiving!
There are multiple ways to keep up with the new sideblog. First, on the navigation bar just under the banner at the top of the page, you'll see links to archives, et cetera - there's now a link to Boots on the Side up there. Also, on the left of the main Boots blog, under categories, you'll see a list of the five most recent updates on the sideblog.

And that's all the blog-related news for today! Tomorrow, I'm heading out to Alexander Family Farms to pick up our local and most likely delicious turkey. And on Wednesday, we leave for Mandeville and New Orleans! I'm looking forward to stopping in to Cafe Amelie for a rainbow of absinthes.
