Ok. Hi! Erm.
Logan is back in Michigan for the next few weeks doing reshoots on the movie he was working on last summer. Did you know it's cold up there during the winter? I mean, colder than Austin? Like usually below freezing?
Luckily, our friend Andy had a big puffy snowman coat available to lend.
And, well, we have a big project that was taking up a lot of our time before he left, and is currently my giant responsibility while Logan works and freezes.
WE ARE GOING ON A TRIP AROUND THE WORLD.
So big favor, blogworld. Anyone have any information on, or live in, or know anyone who lives in:
Mexico, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, South Africa, Tanzania/Zanzibar, Kenya, Ethiopia, the UAE, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, India, Nepal, China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, or New Zealand?
Specifically, places we desperately and absolutely need to see and foods (especially micro-regional specialties) we need to taste to broaden our horizons?
If you're thinking YES TOTALLY!, then please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or leave a comment!
Did I mention we're planning to spend 14 months on the road? Because we are.
Oh! And not only will I be updating boots while we're on the road (or at least really, really trying to), we will also be tweeting at two different places. @bootsintheoven will still be live and will be reserved for journaling. Food we find will be tweeted and discussed at @gofindfood.
I'll be posting updates on travel plans as they come up, but right now the idea is to skedaddle by the middle of March.
I'd also like to mention that I'm trying a new photo project over on Boots on the Side, our little moblog - a picture a day (from my phone, so the quality's kinda meh for now) all year. I hope to keep this going while we're on the road. So, you can always hop over there to see what we're up to.
In the meantime, before another post goes up, may I distract you with a picture of a po'boy from Parkway Bakery in New Orleans? And yes, it was as good as it looks.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give us! I'll be back soon.
