Seamus Butler

Char Siu Bao looks extremely delicious! I'm in Phnom Penh now, any suggestions for meal options? Recently left Kuala Lumpur, i'm sure you two are heading there soon. Make sure to try the grilled stingray on Jalan Alor. As always amazing photos! Also, Sam's Restaurant has great banana leaf spread. Try the barfi!

Hi, Seamus! The Central Market (the Art Deco one) had some good stands for lunch - we had some really tasty make your own spring rolls dish there and some seriously awesome iced coffee. Sweet Cafe & Restaurant was a little anglicized, but had some really good food, dishes hard to find elsewhere. The place next door (Villa Khmer) wasn't bad either, if you're in the mood for something fancy (and even more western) The streetfood seemed to be mostly fried beef balls, chicken wing tip, balut, and fried balut balls - filling, but not the most delicious.

Have a good time in Phnom Penh! I'm actually working on those posts right now. S21 and the Killing Fields were gutting.

Thanks for the tips on KL - we'll be there Sunday night!

Ling

Is there ANY CHANCE you both may have time for Singapore?? I'm decamping from Breda permanently and heading back home. Will be there in about 3 weeks!

Ling - emailed! We will try to make this work!

Su-Lin

Modern Chinese girls all wear hotpants?

Su-Lin, apparently! The phone thing seemed fairly accurate, even if the outfit was not...
