Typical South American hostel brekkie

I haven't been updating this blog at all, because we rarely have Internet when we're out and about. I miss it!

Here's our breakfast today. Coca tea (we're at 8,000 feet in Aguascalientes, I think), roll with butter and jam, banana, OJ. We have a train this morning to ollantaytambo, where we'll pick up a colectivo to Cuzco, where we'll try to buy tickets for a night bus to La Paz. Travel day!

Practice Pack #1 Complete

Tada! About twenty pounds. The computer isn't in it, though the case is. And I still have a bit of extra space. Phew.

Cooking at the table is just too much fun! Also, one of our panchan was fried dried hot peppers tossed in sugar. Want them next time I'm watching a sporting event.

So glad Christian and Jamie had one last pizza party before we left town! We got to see so many great people.

Just had a wonderful lunch at a completely empty Thanh Nhi. Go there for pork sausage spring rolls with a fried dough cigar and mint, or a perfect Vietnamese iced coffee over ice, or banh mi, or a hearty bowl of bun (rice noodles) with pork and spring rolls. Stuffed.

And on my way to the dentist for the first time in... Well, it doesn't matter. Right?

My new teeny baby MacBook Air came in! Now to move iTunes over and get started.

We leave TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY NOT THAT I'M FREAKING OUT OR NOTHING. All is coming together in a completely hectic pace, random boxes are arriving at the door, and each day we think of another five or so super important things we've forgotten about completely.

And I bought super sparkly Toms to bring on the trip! They weigh nothing and feel like slippers but I think they may be way too bright. Erin said they're the color of Michael Jackson's gloves and she's dead on.

Also, we bought iPhone 4s! So moblogging pictures will hopefully look a lot better and be HD. Hut will still be of mundane things like my shoes.
