You can buy duck eggs?

Ok that's it, I'm moving back.

Boots in the Oven

Yup - most weeks at the farmers' market! Wish we could send you some...

busby seo challenge

I've been trying to learn how to cook...thanks for sharing your idea...

Look at the state of those pancakes! Can I come and visit?? I particularly love the addition of spiced apples because I'm one of those weirdos who believes that all salty stuff needs to be eaten with sweet stuff ;-)

You're welcome, busby.

Jeanne, of course - anytime! I think we still have three pounds or so of bacon... it's a little excessive. Apples and bacon are a perfect combo, in my mind.

Pork and apples sure go great hand in hand. I guess it's there to balance the flavor of the bacon a bit. But hey, this is my kinda breakfast too! =D
I can get fresh duck eggs in NYC's Chinatown but the slightly dearer prices has always been a little of a deterrent.

They're more expensive at the markets here, too, but Husbear's been on a bit of a kick lately, as you can see - and he feels good getting them from the farmers. Luckily, they keep for a while!

I'm not sure what it is that's so magical about pork and apples. I remember when I was a kid having the simplest version of this - pork chops with applesauce - and loving it.

damn, that looks delicious. i wish i lived in bacon pancake land...sigh.

You know, one of the nice things about Bacon Pancake Land is that we accept passports from all nations. When's Kentucky mutton time?

Dies ist ein großer Ort. Ich möchte hier noch einmal.
