Your description of Greektown makes me think of NY's Little Italy. Detroit sounds like a real drag. That's one kick-ass mural though...

OOH, that event looks way cool! And I think we're in town that weekend! Thanks for giving us the information.

And yeah, the mural is totally kickass. The museum is pretty terrific and is definitely my favorite thing about Detroit so far.

Next time try Corktown-bars along Michigan Avenue, Cliff Bell's near the Fox, Midtown- the Magic Stick among many others, New Center- Northern Lights Lounge, Hamtramck- Small's, Whiskey In The Jar, you'll trip over an open bar every 10 feet. You just don't know your way around yet....Detroit will grow on you ;-)
