« Michigan's Leelenau Peninsula: Fishtown and Dunes (and a bit of booze) | Main | Happy New Year! Our first Song of the Year. »

This is a great post - thank you so much for visiting Greenfield Village, and for writing about it! I wish I could say the great turkey escape was staged for visitors, but it sounds like they must have just flown the coop (literally)...

Next time you're in town, please let me know - there is even more to know about our food than what you got to experience, especially when it comes to supporting and offering local food; it is a big passion of ours, too. Have you ever been to one of our Local Roots evening dining events? Next one (February) is chocolate-themed... http://www.thehenryford.org/events/eagleTavernWinter.aspx

Thanks again - hope to see you back soon!
