Laura

We stayed at the Dekeling too! Lots of memories coming back when I read this post like the tea and the momos and the uh, trash. The cool whip clotted cream doesn't sound so good though. Glad we skipped that one. I too had a nightmare overnight train incident leaving the place. No vomiting kid, but I did have a sweaty and flatulent man sharing our first class cabin. He had a bandaged and bloody toe, smelly food, and the alarm on his phone went off every 10 minutes during the course of the night. Ah, the charm of India!

Boots in the Oven

Laura, what a small world - with all the hotels in that town, it's hilarious that we stayed at the same place! What an awful first class travel experience! 1AC is most definitely not all it's cracked up to be...
